Bitfocus login portal for your control setup

Your bitfocus login is the single key to your bit of Companion. With it, you keep downloads organized, find builds, and manage everything tied to your account. It is not required to run Companion, but it makes life honestly simpler when you move between devices or look for an earlier version.

What the login portal gives you

Build history

Grab any release you have downloaded before, from stable builds to testing builds. Never carry a thumb drive to another room again.

Your bitfocus buttons

Keep your custom button bundles in sync, so a new laptop can be configured quickly. Log back in and pick up where you left the job.

Companion modules

Bookmark your favorite modules and keep notes on each, no matter which company manufactured the hardware.

A login that stays out of your way

Security-minded people breathe easier with the bitfocus login enabled on multi-operator installs. Restrict your web admin so only someone with the right credential can reach your buttons, not anyone who happens to be on the venue network. That matters a lot when a show has fifty technicians wandering around.

Remember that the software interface itself can have its own protection, separate from the portal. Use them together: the portal login for account things, and the web admin password for the control surface itself.

Tips for a smoother bitfocus login

Pick one strategy and stick to it. Some facilities make the login email attached to the venue, not to a person, so a touring technician is never locked out when someone leaves the company. Others add one account per operator and track every change. Both work, but pick one and document it.

From time to time, jump into the portal and note the build you are on, especially before a big event. If something breaks mid-show, the fastest fix is often simply downloading the known-good previous build from your history.
